The rain falls.
Crystalline drops
Tears from the sky
Falling, falling
Falling forever
Clear-through fallen angels
Angels that have lost their wings
Now they fall

Shattering on the ground
Hundreds shatter, shatter
On the ground, their shards
Make little pools of shattered angel
Broken angel
Angels that have lost their wings

The clouds release them
Release them to fall for an eternity
For an eternity, to shatter
To sleep, to sleep
Never to wake until the wind
Until the wind takes them all away
Adds them to the shattered sea
The sea roars, complaining
Restrained in its barriers
Seeming eternal, but,
Destined not to last forever.

Cries out forever its mourning song
Crying, crying, echoing against the rocks and
Shattering them
The broken breaks, the worn wears down
The sea cries salt tears
Tears made up of fallen angels
And crushed stone

The sea breaks the rocks
Wears it down into the little, little powder
Absorbs it, dissolves it
To make the fallen angel tears.

The song of the sea cries
